Braydin Lewis was much more than a talented hockey player—he was a young man who lived his life with passion, courage, and an unwavering commitment to kindness and community. His love for hockey matched his love for family, friends, and the people around him. Braydin’s competitive spirit was matched by his generosity of heart, which inspired everyone who knew him.
The #PlayLikeBray attitude captures the essence of how Braydin lived and loved. This mindset embodies his dedication not only to high achievement in hockey but also to being a good human—showing kindness, giving back to those in need, and fostering a spirit of community stewardship. Braydin believed in supporting others and spreading positivity every day, and this is the core principle of the Play Like Bray philosophy.
At PSM Icehouse, we proudly continue Braydin’s legacy with the “47 Player of the Month” award. Each month, coaches from our Force and Galaxy teams nominate a player who exemplifies what it means to Play Like Bray—someone who demonstrates leadership, compassion, determination, and team spirit both on and off the ice. The selected player’s photo is displayed in a place of honor near the Elite locker rooms, recognizing their embodiment of Braydin’s values and spirit.
Braydin’s life reminds us that being an elite athlete is about more than stats and goals—it’s about being a great teammate, a caring friend, and a positive presence in the community. His legacy lives on through the Play Like Bray program and the ongoing support of youth and junior hockey players, ensuring that his warmth, spirit, and love for life continue to inspire generations to come.
About the Braydin Lewis Memorial Hockey Game
