Core Skills Camp is a program families consistently return to throughout the year — during winter break, spring break, and summer — because it delivers reliable development in an environment players enjoy coming back to.
This camp focuses on building and reinforcing essential hockey skills through structured instruction and purposeful repetition. Players work on skating fundamentals, puck control, passing, shooting, and overall game awareness, with each session designed to help skills translate directly into game situations.
Training is organized, active, and engaging. Skills are reinforced through competitive drills and small-area games that keep players moving and involved while maintaining a clear focus on development. The pace is intentional, the teaching is consistent, and players finish the week more confident in their abilities and understanding of the game.
Core Skills Camp is ideal for players looking for meaningful progress in a setting that balances structure, challenge, and an experience kids genuinely enjoy.
Fuel & Hydration
Icehouse Summer Camps are active, full days on the ice, and staying fueled makes a big difference. Campers should bring their own lunch, along with healthy snacks and a full water bottle each day. We encourage balanced food choices and plenty of water to help players stay comfortable, focused, and energized so they can fully enjoy their time on the ice.
Busy days made easy for families
We offer convenient Late Pick-Up options for all camp participants when registered in advance, giving parents flexibility while kids stay active, engaged, and supervised.
Late Pick Up: 3:00 – 4:30 PM – $15 per day | add at registration

Andy Long is an experienced hockey instructor committed to helping players build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a lasting passion for the game. At Core Skills Camp, he focuses on purposeful instruction, attention to detail, and creating an environment where players are challenged to improve every day.
Andy encourages athletes to set meaningful goals, embrace hard work, and develop the habits that lead to long-term growth — both on and off the ice. His approach combines structure, accountability, and positive reinforcement to help players leave camp more confident and better prepared for the season ahead.
