Compete USA Figure Skating Competition

PSM Icehouse is proud to host the 2026 Indiana State Series Battle of the Blades, a U.S. Figure Skating sanctioned Compete USA competition designed for Learn to Skate USA and Aspire program athletes.
This exciting event provides skaters of all levels — including first-time competitors — the opportunity to experience the thrill of competition in a supportive, professionally run environment.
From skaters as young as five years old to advancing Aspire athletes, Battle of the Blades celebrates growth, confidence, and achievement on the ice.
What to Expect
Athletes will compete in events following U.S. Figure Skating’s Compete USA guidelines, including:
- Basic Skills Programs
- Aspire Free Skate Events
- Introductory Dance & Showcase categories
- Individual skill-building competitive events
The competition is designed to build confidence, encourage goal setting, and provide a positive first competition experience for developing skaters.

Admission
Admission is free and open to the public. Families, friends, and community members are encouraged to attend and support these young athletes.

Championship Weekend at PSM Icehouse
Battle of the Blades will run alongside the 2026 Midwestern & Pacific Coast High School Sectional Finals (March 27–29), also hosted at PSM Icehouse.
Together, these events highlight the full development pathway within U.S. Figure Skating — from Learn to Skate and Aspire athletes to high school sectional competitors.
